If the route looks familiar, it should. We just reversed last week's route. Why waste a perfectly good route? We’ll roll out of Whitehouse, across the street from Cycle Werks, at 8:00. Our route will take us N and W and by the Field of Dreams drive-in as we head S to Liberty Ctr for a brief stop at Grandma’s. Then it's E through Texas before we head NE to Whitehouse. Possibility of damp roads, but things should dry out, and the current prediction is low NE winds.

As usual, it's 18-20 rolling speed, but we will adjust for the group. This is a no drop ride. Be sure to come and join us!

As many of you know, this week starting on Wednesday, May 1st, will see the start of TAB’s official weeknight riding. (I think there’s an unofficial Speedtrap out of Elmore this evening, conditions look ideal for tonight’s ride). Just a few things to consider:

1). Have you been out riding already? Many of the groups will most likely start out on the lower/lighter end of their rolling speeds at the beginning of the season. And many group are “NO DROP” groups; HOWEVER… please make sure you’re physically able to ride the posted distance and keep up in the group you choose to ride with. If unsure, perhaps start out in a group with a lower AVS/Rolling-speed and work your way up.

2). How’s your bike and equipment? When was the last time you had your bike tuned up? How old are the tires? When was the last time your tubes were replaced? Is your helmet in good condition with no falls or impacts to it? How’s your shoes? When was the last time you replaced your cleats? Is your chain in good working order? Are your lights charged up and ready to go.

3). For anyone new to TAB and/or group riding looking to make new friends, TAB has a ride for you! However, for those who are unfamiliar with group riding, please check out the below video. Most TAB rides employ the use of a double pace-line, (in smaller groups, the Ride Leader may opt to use a single-pace line). If unfamiliar with group riding, we recommend new-comers ride with one of our slower-paced rides including the Saturday morning “Meandering,” or the Thursday evening 5Fer with Group 6 “Spicy” or Group 7 “GLR.” Once familiar with group riding, you may choose to “bump” up to some of the faster groups. Please also identify yourself to the group Ride Leader, so that they can go over any specific ride etiquette unique to their group. They may opt to have you ride in the rear of the group for the time being before allowing you to work your way up to the lead-bikes.

We all want to have a great, fun, and SAFE riding season. Looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and see you on the road!

The Meanderer's roll this Saturday, Apr 27th from Whitehouse at 9a. Meet up across the street from Cycle Werks so that we can adventure out for a 25-mile tour out to Waterville & Providence Dam. Bring hydration and a snack for our rest stop break. Meanderer's meander so you can expect rolling speeds of up to 15-17mph and an average that will fall somewhere between 13-15mph for this NO DROP ride. Pace is set by the abilities of the group that gathers!

It's month end, so that means we head over to one of the local eateries for a post ride bite. I think I saw some rain in the forecast for Saturday morning, we will just head over the the local eatery early if we do cancel the ride for the weather. Hope you'll try to come out and join us!!
