    Speedtrap Ride Tuesday May 18th

The Speedtrap Ride will once again roll out from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, tomorrow, May 18th, at 6:30 pm. The weather will be relatively favorable for riding with a temperature at ride time in the mid to low 70s, a 7 – 9 mph east wind, and practically no chance of rain.

Scott Lang will once again lead the Ghost Pepper Riders over a 25-mile course. Expect his group to average 22+ mph. Are you up to the challenge?!

Bob Kayden will lead the Cayenne Pepper Riders over the same course at a slight slower pace, 20 – 22 mph.

Douglass Kilpatrick will lead the Habanero riders. Expect his group to average around 19 mph

I expect to lead the Jalapeno Riders over a slightly shorter 22-mile route at 15 – 17 mph. However, because of health issues, I MAY need someone to volunteer to do this for one more week.

Todd Pollock will lead the Sweet Pepper Riders on a course and at a speed agreeable to the group.

The Speedtrap Ride is an excellent ride to meet some great people, as it is a joint venture of TAB and the Flatlanders. Why not come out and enjoy something different. Sign-in begins at 6:00. I hope to see you then!

Speedtrap Ride Tuesday May 4th Recap

The Speedtrap Ride drew thirty riders to Elmore, Ohio, this past Tuesday, May 4th, for the first official ride of the season. There were favorable weather conditions at ride start: temperature in the 60s with a light wind. However, weather conditions gradually worsened as the ride progressed. Wind speeds increased and there was a light rain by the time riders returned to Elmore.

All five groups were represented. However, the Habanero Riders’ average of 19.5 mph, from leader Doug Kilpatrick,  was the only one reported.

New to the Speedtrap Ride this week were Lindsay Rausch, TAB board member, and David St. Louis. Lindsay Rausch is pictured.(I’ll get David St. Louis next time).

After the ride, several riders enjoyed the camaraderie of other riders in the store with music and drink.

Come join the fun! Please join us next Tuesday, May 11th, for the next chapter of the Speedtrap Ride. Sign-in begins at 6:00 in front of Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, and we roll out at 6:30 pm. I hope to see you then!
