15 riders departed Whitehouse on a very windy Tuesday Night Ride. We rode West using the trees in Oak Openings as a wind stop, which worked rather well. The return trip was a brisk 22 mph as everyone was enjoying the pleasure of a tailwind. Unfortunately, Randall Krohn had a mechanical which caused him to somersault over the handlebars. Fortunately no serious injuries occurred, except for some road rash and a broken bike. Some really nice folks on CR B loaded Randy and his bike in a truck and took him home to Waterville.
When we finished the ride we realized we were missing David Burkett; a search party was organized...Andrew Fritsch drove his car looking for the elusive Dave. I’m happy to report we found him at home.
Join us next Tuesday for the last Night Ride until November. After the ride we will be regrouping at Local Tyme for beer and burgers.

Eleven cyclists rode out from Sue Richards’ home in Perrysburg for the 2019 edition of the Easter Bunny Ride. Most of the group rode 32 miles through rural Wood County to Luckey and back. A few, not having ridden much over the winter, opted to turn back early and settle for 21 miles. The temperature was in the 40s at ride start time, but warmed to the 50s near 60 by the time riders returned.

But that’s not the best part! Upon return all riders enjoyed delicious food prepared by host Sue Richards. Thank you Sue for a wonderful brunch and all the work you did to prepare it!

Attached are pictures of a few of the riders as they returned to Perrysburg.

It’s that time of year when a young cyclist’s fancy lightly turns to sunny afternoons with Rick Metcalf directing Hot 1 to roll out. It’s here.....FINALLY. The weekday schedule is approaching quickly. Dan Riley and his Windsday Group have the honor this year of kicking off the summer schedule on Wednesday May 1st. We have club rides on the schedule, Monday thru Friday and throughout the weekend. Lots of variety and different levels to accomodate ALL of our members.

It’s going to be another great cycling season. Check the Club Rides and Calendar tabs for more information and plan to roll out with us!

Kevin, Mike, Kal and I braved the elements for the second Intro to Gravel ride. These guys are Winter Warriors, so this wasn't an intro to gravel for them. With temps in the mid 30s, steady rain, and 15mph wind from the Northeast, we were soaked and cold by the end. Definitely a mental toughness test today.
