Speedtrap Ride Tuesday September 12th recap

The Speedtrap Ride brought thirty-five hardy cyclists to Elmore Tuesday evening for a great ride on the quiet country roads of Ottawa, Sandusky, and Wood Counties.

Dan Willis(substituting for Scott Lang) led the Ghost Pepper Riders and reported a 23.6 mph riding average.

Bob Kayden led his Cayenne Pepper Riders to a 21.4 mph average.

Todd Pollock led sixteen Jalapeno Riders and reported a riding average of 18.6 mph.

The Sweet Pepper Riders again split into more than one group. Erik Wineland appears to have been the fastest with a 16.5 mph average.

          There were no Habanero Riders.

Pictured is first-time Speedtrap Rider Mark Maxwell, who is co-leader, with David Barret, of the Spicy Group on 5fer Thursday. Welcome Mark!

Also pictured are some Jalapeno Riders on the Road. Thank you Todd Pollock for that photo!

On this Speedtrap Ride, Joe Peltier, el capitan of TAB’s 5fer Thursday Ride, enjoyed his first ride since his injury in June . Congratulations Joe!!!

Next Tuesday, September 19th, predicted are mostly sunny skies, only an 8% chance of rain, a SSE wind of 6mph, and a high temperature of 74 degrees. Sunset will be at 7:36 pm, so front and rear lights will be necessary, especially for slower riders. Please join us! Ride time will be 6:10 pm!

After the ride we will be celebrating Bob Kayden’s birthday(actually the next day),  For the occasion, Bob and Becky Kayden will be providing walking tacos. This will be Bob’s last Speedtrap Ride before he and Becky leave for their long winter vacation.

Sign-in next week begins at 5:40 pm in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
