Speedtrap Ride Tuesday September 13th
To all hardy cyclists: The Speedtrap Ride, the best Tuesday night ride out of Ottawa County, will roll out again from Spoke Life Cycles in Elmore, Ohio, this Tuesday, September 13th, at 6:15 pm. The weather looks to be favorable for riding: a temperature close to 70, little chance of rain, and a west wind less than 9 mph.
Scott Lang will lead the Ghost Pepper Riders over a 25-mile course, and the Cayenne Pepper Riders(substitute ride leader needed) will ride the same course. Riding averages for each group are likely to be 22+/- to 23+ mph. Are you ready for the challenge!
Doug Kilpatrick will take out his Habanero Riders. His group is likely to average 20 to 22 mph.
Todd Pollock will lead his Jalapeno Riders at an average of likely 17 – 19 mph.
All those who would like to ride a more casual pace will form the Sweet Pepper Riders. Averages have been 16+ lately.
Only three more official Speedtrap Rides in the 2022 season! Why not come out and ride some quiet country roads with some great people! Since sunset will be at 7:46 pm, both front and rear lights are highly recommended, especially for slower riders. We’ll roll out at 6:15 pm, with sign-in beginning at 5:45 in front of the bike shop.
