Speedtrap Ride Tuesday August 9th recap

The Speedtrap Ride brought thirty-nine cyclists to Elmore last night for what turned out to be a great ride for most.

Scott Lang led the Ghost Pepper Riders and returned with a 22.3 mph average.

Bob Kayden took out his Cayenne Pepper Riders and returned with a 22.5 mph—his best in a long time. Bob’s group included Doug Kilpatrick and his Habanero Riders, who decided not to go out as a separate group. What a performance!

Todd Pollock led eleven Jalapeno Riders and returned with an 18.3 mph average.

The Sweet Pepper Riders returned with a 15.1 mph average, as reported by Ben Durant.

The Good Looking Pepper Riders rode down the North Coast Inland Trail toward Lindsey and back for 13.09 miles at 10.45 mph. The Triking Cherry Pepper Riders rode the other way on the trail to Genoa and back. No report from them.

Pictured are three riders new to the Speedtrap Ride: Jane Weiss(all the way from Tucson, Arizona), Bob Kayden’s sister, with Bob and Becky; Dalton Clark(black/white jersey) and Sarah Lee(green jersey). Welcome all to the Speedtrap Ride!

Also pictured are Speedtrap regular Ben Durant on the road, and some Jalapeno Riders. Both photographs were provided by Todd Pollock. Thank you Todd!

Please join us next Tuesday, August 16th, for another great Speedtrap Ride. The temperature again will be favorable –in the upper 70s. However there may be a healthy northeast wind. It will be vintage jersey night! So get those old jerseys out!

We roll out at 6:30 pm! I hope to see you then!
