The Westerly Recap

It was another windy ride for Sara Lee, Tim Prand and Tim Book this past Sunday. If my memory serves me correctly it was a steady 18-20 mph out of the East. The worst of it was felt along Kellogg heading back to Tontogany with the wind blocks being few and far between.

Still only one of the four windmills were spinning. According to Alan Frischiman, that seems to be the norm but I try to make a mental note out of curiosity.

Tim Book questioned the safety of riding on Kellogg Road which Alan has as well. I appreciate the knowledge that other riders share so I'm considering making a change to the route by continuing north on Beaver Creek to Long Judson east, to north on Weston, to east on Scott Road into Tontogany to meet up with the route. This would avoid some bad pavement and the blind uphill on Wintergreen and then fast traffic on Kellogg. I'm not familiar with those roads so if anyone has experience in those areas, please share.

Other than that, keep the rubber side down.
