Speedtrap Ride Tuesday August 3rd recap

The Speedtrap Ride brought thirty-six cyclists to Elmore Tuesday night on what was an almost ideal weather riding evening.

Scott Lang led a combined Ghost Pepper/Cayenne Pepper group and reported a 22.8 mph average.

Doug Kilpatrick and his Habanero Riders rode to a 21.4 mph average

Todd Pollock reported leading seven veteran riders at an average of 19.1 mph.

I was one of six Sweet Pepper Riders. We had a riding average of 15.8 mph.

The route was cut short by a little over a mile because of road work on SR 105.

Pictured(in red) is first time Speedtrap rider David Stoiber, who rode with the Sweet Pepper group. Welcome Dave!

Also pictured is a group of Jalapeno Riders. Looks like they’re having fun!

A belated congratulations to regular Speedtrap Rider Greg Hill, who also finished the half-ironman a couple of weeks ago!

Please join us next Tuesday, August 10th, for the next chapter of the Speedtrap Ride. The long-range forecast calls for 90 degrees- a good night to get out and ride some quiet country roads. After the ride, Bob and Becky Kayden will be furnishing walking tacos. If you plan to join the after-the-ride festivities, please bring something to share. Sign-in begins at 6:00 in front of the bike shop. I hope to see you then!
