31st Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA)

  • 06/15/2019

  • Wood County Fairgrounds, Bowling Green OH
Join us June 15-22 on a bicycling voyage to the Lake Erie region, Ohio’s No. 1 vacation destination.

Set your own pace while making memories with family, friends and up to 1,500 other riders. The itinerary is designed to showcase the area's treasures, both natural and man-made, as you follow a large loop from Bowling Green to Fremont to Port Clinton to Oregon, then back to Bowling Green.

Along the way, you can explore islands and marshes. Relax on beaches. Tour wineries. Step back into history. Thrill to amusement park rides. Taste the catch of the day. We’ll chart a course that’s sure to delight cyclists of all ages and interests.

New for 2019, popular Port Clinton will become the first GOBA town to have two layover days, giving you more opportunities to sightsee, do optional rides or just sleep in.

Also new for 2019, more choices on how far to ride. Want a challenge? Ride every day on fully supported routes, including an optional 100-mile century test, for a total of about 400 miles. Looking for less? Skip the three layover day rides and use our new, supported shortcuts on the four routes between host towns to reduce the distance to about 35 miles on each mandatory day, or about 140 miles for the week.

As always, outdoor camping is a fun part of the GOBA experience. We sleep in tents at schools, parks and fairgrounds while enjoying the hospitality of the towns we visit. Your registration fee includes luggage trucks that transport your gear as you bike from town to town, and modern shower trucks that keep the hot water flowing all week.

Don't like to camp? GOBA sells car-camper passes for RVs and trailers, and some of our overnight towns might rent indoor sleeping space in a dorm or on a gym floor. And there are multiple hotels within 10 miles of the four GOBA camps.

Don't have a tent or don't like setting up one? You can purchase "deluxe" and "community" camping services, with two levels of pampering. And all riders can purchase towel service or rent a chair.

Why wait when you can sign up now for GOBA and save! Early-bird registration is $275 per adult through December 31. The cost per child ages 6-15 is $95, and kids ages 2-5 are free (sorry, no children younger than 2). Be sure to add GOBA jerseys, T-shirts, raffle tickets and other valuable extras.

Prepare to set sail on a memorable journey!
