TAB Members (and beyond),
Attached is the summer issue of The Seatpost. The July-August 2011 issue of the TAB newsletter is being sent to the e-mail address you supplied with your membership form.
Articles include
  • Information about the Freedom 100 to benefit Mountain Mentors (send some young cyclists to GOBA!)
  • "Making it Count" -- how to log your miles and other activities in order to donate to your favorite charity (free!)
  • Pre MARR and MARR information for volunteers and riders
  • Credit card touring in California, by Elmer Sperry -- you'll be inspired!
  • Other regional ride reports, including Marietta River Rendezvous (Rick Rump), TOSRV and Horsey Hundred (Edgar Rapp) and National 24 Hour Challenge and AORTA (Jacqueline Campbell)
  • Resources for short, overnight bicycle touring and listing of area mountain bike trails
  • Art bike parade in Whitehouse and upcoming artist designed bike racks in Toledo
  • Roundup of local and national news, product reviews and our usual calendar of events.
Special thanks to contributors Mark Armstrong, Linda Posadny, Debbie Tassie, Elmer Sperry, Rick Rump, Edgar Rapp, Nancy Beeman and Chuck Nicewonder.
I hope you will enjoy this issue of the newsletter! We'll be publishing a mini edition of The Seatcollar at the end of July with updates for August. The next full issue of The Seatpost will be out at the end of August with a deadline of August 22. As always, I'm looking for your help in selecting topics, contributing articles and photos, and keeping our newsletter interesting for our club membership.
I'd like some assistance on the next few issues so we are looking for volunteer(s). As most of you know, I've loved editing the newsletter and have found it to be very fun and rewarding. But it is time for a new editor's voice.  Please consider volunteering to be editor in 2012. We can work together on the next few issues, and I'll be available to help you next year.
