TAB members and beyond,

Attached is the April-May 2014 edition of the TAB newsletter, The Seat Post.   This new issue of the TAB newsletter is being sent to the email address you supplied with your membership form.  As always, within a few hours you will also be able to download it from our TAB website.

We had some fantastic contributions to this issue!

  • Rick Metcalf summarizes the Winter Warrior series - #Snoledo was named #1 Worst Winter City in US, yet we had an awesome series of rides with great participation.  Congratulations to our winner!
  • Allen Kraus, last year’s Spartan Winter Warrior, provides a great recap of the largest gravel race in the US, Barry-Roubaix (your editor was glad to finish upright!)
  • MS Society  partners with TAB to provide training clinic and rides for Bike to the Bay riders (thanks, Brian Gribble)
  • Finally, spring arrives … but is your bike ready? Review our quick inspection checklist before you take your first ride
  • The weekend rides start, plus plenty of other events in our calendar for April and May … make sure you consider participating in Calvin’s Challenge and the Memorial 100k in support of the Wounded Warrior Project
  • To ensure a great season, our ride leaders will meet on Wednesday, April 9th - all are welcome and we encourage volunteers
  • Plus Treasurer’s Report, March Board Meeting Notes, and our first column by new President Cindy DiVitto

I want to warmly thank Rick Metcalf, Allen Kraus, Brian Gribble (2x’s), Janet Smith, Heather Miller, Hugh Benning, Debbie Tassie, and Cindy DiVitto for their wonderful contributions to this newsletter.   Please consider adding your name to this list by contributing an article or photo to our next issue.   The next issue of The Seatpost will be out at the end of May with a submission deadline of May 26th.
