2015 Freedom Ride

The annual Freedom Ride will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015.  This will be our second ride of the year conducted as a fundraiser.

This year, the beneficiary will be Glass City Adaptive Recreation.  Glass City Adapted Recreation serves people with physical disabilities in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

Their mission is to provide outdoor recreation and sports experiences for the enjoyment of a physical lifestyle with the help of adaptive equipment.   The goal of Glass City Adaptive Recreation is to promote camaraderie and a strong bond among individuals who have the passion and drive to stay active in the community through sports and other group activities.

TAB’s fundraising efforts will help in this mission.

Riders meet at Mallard Lake in Oak Openings to begin a metric century (64 miles) at 8:00 a.m.(rear parking lot).  Riders should be capable of holding a steady pace of 16 mph. The destination is Morenci. The group may split into two groups. The half metric century (32 miles) will begin at the same location at 10:15 a.m. for riders looking for a shorter distance / slower pace.
