Sunday, Afternoon Get-Away Ride

TAB is reinstating the Sunday Afternoon Get-Away Ride! This ride begins at the Monclova Elementary School parking lot located at the corner of Monclova Road and Waterville-Monclova Road, with departure time at 1:00 pm. We hope to attract enough riders to establish several groups, with those groups determining the pace and the distance of the ride, based on experience and conditioning. Our expectations are listed on the Club Rides page and will be fleshed out as we gain experience from who participates. Bear with us.

From the school, the ride heads west following the North Fork of the Wabash Cannonball Trail. The route weaves out to Fulton County Road 3 where it heads south. The route then loops northeast back to Whitehouse. From there, it generally follows the South Fork back to the school.

This is a NO-DROP ride! Ride leaders would like to attract a broader range of riders, so if you are interested, please come on out, and we’ll do our best to establish a route and distance that will fit most everyone.

The group focuses on safety by drafting prudently and not overlapping - a good ride for the stronger rider looking to hone group riding skills, and good practice for those new to group riding. There are no sprints or other “racer-type” drills planned for this ride. If you are new to the ride or have any questions or concerns, it’s a good idea to arrive early and let the ride leader know before the ride starts.
