Friday Coffee Club

Friday morning rides are back with a coffee and doughnut theme, starting in May at 9:00 a.m. Depending on who shows up, distance will vary between 30-50 miles, and speed will vary from 16-19 mph moving averages (“C” or “B” level ride). Stronger riders who want a better workout might want to bring a heavier bike. This will be a no-drop ride, with regrouping if necessary.

In most cases, the coffee stop will fall within 5-10 miles of the end of the ride, making it easier for those who need to get home earlier to opt out of the stop.

Friday rides will have rotating start locations. Ride Leader Nancy Beeman will notify TAB members of start locations via the club’s e-mail messaging and post on Facebook prior to the ride day. Since Nancy lives in Whitehouse, anyone who wants a few extra miles is welcome to join her for the trek to the ride start (for example, Whitehouse to the Springbrook parking lot and Whitehouse to Sidecut Metropark). Since rides will start at 9:00 a.m., those riding extra miles will leave Whitehouse earlier.
