  • Renew Your Membership Now! It’s so easy. You want someone to ride with, so you take a look at the TAB website and find out where the ride is that day. Six days a week, from May through September, there’s a group ride somewhere. Weekend rides stretch into April and October. And beyond that, there is the fabled Winter Warrior Series that starts in November.This all happens because there is a club. There are ride leaders who volunteer to make sure each ride happens. There is insurance to protect all members from liability. There is a website, Facebook and e-mail to communicate with one another.   • December 2016 -- President's News The 3-foot passing bill has been signed into law and will be effective March 19, in time for the summer biking system. The bill has been pending since 2009. Ohio finally joins 36 other states in requiring a safe distance between cars and bikes. Many thanks to the Ohio Bicycle Federation for all of its efforts to get this bill passed.

  • October 2016 -- President's News Three feet of space isn’t much, but it just might be enough passing space to keep a cyclist from serious injury from a motor vehicle. But it’s still not the law in the state of Ohio.House Bill 154 made it past the house last spring, and has now been referred to the senate’s Transportation, Commerce and Labor Committee. This committee needs to hold a hearing before sending it on.Contact committee chair Frank LaRose and vice chair Gayle Manning to tell them how important it is to schedule this for a hearing at the next committee meeting.
